EU DOCUMENTS IN THE SEJM
In December 2018 the EU Affairs Committee (SUE) held 2 meetings: no. 247 and 248. During these meetings the Committee:
  • scrutinised EU documents:
    • pursuant to Art. 7(4) of the Cooperation Act – EU draft legislative act concerning draft EU budget for 2019,
    • pursuant to Art. 151(1) of the Sejm Standing Orders – two EU legislative proposals: for a regulation concerning the European Border and Coast Guard and for an amending regulation as regards a verification procedure related to infringements of rules on the protection of personal data in the context of elections to the EP,
    • pursuant to Art. 151(1) of the Sejm Standing Orders and Art. 3(2) of the Cooperation Act – EC documents concerning i.a. Commission work programme for 2019, application of subsidiarity and proportionality principlesin 2017 (COM 2018/490), EC relations with national parliamentsin 2017 (COM 2018/491) or strengthening the role of subsidiarity and proportionality in EU's policymaking (COM 2018/703),
    • pursuant to Art. 11(1) of the Cooperation Act – EU documents, which were to be discussed by General Affairs Council,
    • pursuant to Art. 8(2) of the Cooperation Act – EU draft legal acts concerning i.a. EU/Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, fishing opportunities for 2019 or EU-Israel Action Plan.
  • considered government's information on the results of the special meeting of the European Council (Art. 50), 25.11.2018 and government's information before the meeting of the European Council on 13-14.12.2018.

WORK IN COMMITTEES

Agriculture and Rural Development Committee
05.12.2018, considered information presented by the undersecretary of state, Rafał Romanowski, in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on participation in the work of the EU Council of Ministers for Agriculture and Fisheries in November 2018 (mtg no. 282),

State Audit Committee
04.12.2018, took note of the information presented by the member of the European Court of Auditors, Janusz Wojciechowski, on the annual report of the European Court of Auditors on the implementation of the European Union budget in 2017 (mtg no. 106)
